Testimonials

"Susan is the reason the end of my pregnancy went smoothly, and I have frequently thought of how lucky I was that my OBGYN sent me her way. When I went to her I was in a considerable amount of pain that was escalating quickly, and she immediately eased both my pain and my frustrations. She really, really knows everything about how pregnancy manifests itself physically and I was constantly amazed and relieved by her expertise. She spent a great deal of time trying to get to the root of my discomfort and develop a specific treatment plan, and even worked my husband to teach us strategies that we could use at home in between visits. From the very beginning I felt that Susan was nothing short of a caring, expert ally who was as invested in my recovery as I was. Simply put I cannot recommend her highly enough."

Every pregnant woman should be fortunate enough to work with Susan Steffes!  I went to Susan mid-pregnancy for lower back pain.  Susan did an impressively thorough exam to isolate the one weak muscle that was causing my pain and taught me a series of simple and effective exercises to strengthen that muscle.  Thanks to those exercises, my pain was gone within a short while and the remainder of my pregnancy was pain-free!  Susan was a joy to work with and I highly recommend her to every pregnant woman.

Susan Steffes is, by far, the most helpful physical therapist I have ever worked with. She listens amazingly well, provides excellent instruction, and truly individualizes her work to the patient. I always left my sessions with her feeling great hope for my recovery and motivation to work, and her willingness to be available for follow-up feedback and questions helped me to follow through at home. The nature of her work is often highly personal, but her competency and professionalism allowed me to trust in her care. Highest recommendations all around.

I feel hopeful and empowered by my PT sessions with Susan.  I think every OB's office should have a PT on staff to work with their patients not only for the prevention and treatment of pain but for wellness during pregnancy, guidance on activities/exercise, and assistance in physically preparing for the birth of their child.

I am so grateful that Physical Therapy helped my Incontinence issue. I am so lucky to have such a caring and compassionate Physical Therapist. I would not hesitate to refer anyone with pelvic floor muscular issues to you. You're the best.
Thank you so much.

I had been misdiagnosed and erroneously treated for several years before coming to see Susan. She recognized the chronic pelvic pain issues I was having and instituted a course of treatment that properly manages the root cause and symptoms of this condition. I now have a workable PT routine in place that allows me to enjoy some of the my previous active pursuits.  Additionally, Susan is great about returning phone calls and emails and checking in to see how things are progressing. I'm so glad I found Susan.

Susan's presentation on Pubic Symphysis Disorder was extremely thorough, clear, and informative! As a childbirth professional, I am so thankful that I was able to get this information; it has changed the way I support clients who are struggling with pelvic pain. Thanks to Susan, I'm a much more competent doula and childbirth educator.
